We started texting, went on a date, never stopped and the rest is history.

I’ve been a little MIA recently, but there has been a tonne going on. And by a tonne, I mean a tonne. Christmas, new year and my birthday… BUT THERE IS MORE! Remember back in September, when I first told you all about this guy up there?

Well.. This weekend the boyfriend PROPOSED to me and I of course said YES! It was the most magical day ever!!

SATURDAY

He had planned to propose on the Saturday night, but I was SO SO SO tired. I came to his house in the evening and flopped onto the couch and fell asleep within 20 minutes, haha. In my half-awake state, I said “I so hope you weren’t proposing tonight because I’m SO tired and don’t have the energy to call 10,000 people”. Little did I know that when I said that he had everything set up outside waiting for me… Yet I slept blissfully unaware.

SUNDAY

So come Sunday afternoon, I had to run to target to grab a few things. He initially said he would come and then changed his mind because “the football was on at 3pm”. This wasn’t anything out of the usual because he LOVES football, so I didn’t think much on it. Yet when I returned he had set up the entire basement. It was beautiful… Rose petals, candles, pictures of us and romantic music. It was everything I have dreamed of, and more.

While I was at target he had been out in the freezing cold moving everything inside into the basement. It had snowed a tonne that Saturday night/ early Sunday morning and a few things were covered in snow. He worked hard! And fast to bring it all inside. I was not gone long at all. It was the best surprise to come back to.

I’m so lucky to be marrying my best friend and the love of my life. I can’t wait to keep you updated on everything that is going on! 😍
